What do we offer at Stokes After-School Program?

At the Stokes After-School Program, we provide a dynamic and engaging soccer experience that fosters growth in young players. Students participate in fun soccer classes that focus on essential skills such as dribbling, passing, and teamwork, all while having a blast. In addition to soccer, we offer a variety of games and activities that promote physical fitness and social interaction among peers.

Our program also emphasizes personal growth, teaching important life skills like confidence, responsibility, and sportsmanship. We create a welcoming environment where students can make lasting friendships and enjoy the camaraderie of being part of a team.

Who can participate?

Our classes are open to boys and girls in Pre-K 4 through 5th grade. Our classes are divided into four groups:

  • Pre-K 4
  • Kindergarten – 1st Grade
  • 2nd – 5th Grade

Our focus is on enjoyment for every child who participates with us. As a result, our classes are designed to teach the full range of skills necessary for each age group.

Who are the coaches?

The DC Way coaches are a group of amazing men and women who have obtained a professional license to coach. We are truly proud to say that every member of our staff has exceptional personality traits and coaching skills such as a positive approach to coaching, honesty and fairness with players, a love for the game, a passion for teaching and instructing, and extensive knowledge of games, activities, and skills to develop players.

All of the DC Way coaches are certified soccer coaches with extensive experience working with children. Our coaches have all passed mandatory background checks, have at least two years of experience working with children, and have received First Aid training.

What are the benefits?

We aim to cover all aspects of children’s development including physical, social-emotional, cognition, and communication. Our qualified coaches use a distinctive, fun, and high-energy approach to teaching all children the fundamentals of soccer! With a focus on cooperation and team-building, we encourage each child to learn, socialize, and mature at their own pace.

How much does it cost?
What should my child bring? What should my child wear?

All players should bring a water bottle and shin guards (optional). Players younger than 6 years should wear tennis / athletic shoes (cleats are not needed).

When does the next cycle start?

The next cycle starts in February.
